Record profit for Exxon was announced for this last quarter. $14.8 Billion. Wow, one might say. One might even admonish Exxon for such profits during this economy. Some might even say that profit is obscene and should be regulated.

What they won't tell you is that Exxon also announced a record payment in quarterly taxes. $35 Billion. Now just imagine that. In one quarter, they paid $35 Billion. Almost twice their profit margin.

You won't hear that in the news.

maybe reason that gas prices are going to hit the roof right after the elections or so I was told yesterday while filling up my old 1-ton crate Chevy.

grab the bucks while you can philosophy even when the folks of America need a big boost in the Arse ~

Exxon was using an average price per barrell of $118 in the third quarter. Going to be a lot lower in this quarter.
