    SEAL imposter gets seven years in jail...

    A former sailor who posed as a SEAL Chief, who persuaded others to give him their personal information, was sentenced to over seven years for stealing identities and bilking a credit card company out of $182,000.00. U.S. Chief District Judge Rebecca B. Smith took little pity on 31 year old Lionel Jason Haynes, as she sentenced him in a Norfolk (VA) court.

    Heh. Have y'all heard about the guy on America's Got Talent, the country-ish singer, claims he was hit by an RPG in the sandbox and developed a stutter, got a silver star etc? Turns out he was with a Nat'l Guard Transportation Unit (no offense to those in the NGTU's), and spent all of about a week overseas before being shipped back for an ear infection. Full story is HERE. Now, since he hasn't "won" anything, I guess he's not really "defrauding" anyone, except for all of the hotels and caterers and makeup and sound crew and....well...everyone who has been working to help him on the show. I say he gets shipped back over with a front-line combat unit, one week for every day he's claimed to be a disabled vet. Following that, he has to spend twice that amount of time working FOR actual disabled vets. Once that time is up, a public apology on TV, since that's where he decided to air his crap. Dude....seriously...national TV? Like NOBODY's going to check out a claim like that???
