This video is fascinating. The human toll on the foreclosures is not well documented or commented on. Although I have little sympathy for people who bought mortgages they couldn't afford, I do feel for them when they've reached the end of their tethers and have to abandon so much.

"The home was appraised at $28,000. As of last year, she owed more than $45,000 on the loan."

Interesting.

In the early 1990s my ex and I did this on mobile homes when we were going through the last major housing downfall. For a while it was pretty lucrative then the Northridge earthquake hit and many of the mobile homes we were working on were deemed "damaged" and written off so our little side business ended.
