What arcade games did you play back in the 80's?

I was sitting around on friday, day off with not much to do {the WW2 site was offline!! } so I went to check out the arcade in the plaza, they have one of those new multi-game video arcades. It was like taking a trip down memory lane, back to the 80's when I used to waste my pocket money plugging quarters into the local machine!

The best part was that this machine had a glitch, every time you croaked it gave you another credit.

I must have played that sucker for hours....

What games did everyone play way back when?

Did anyone here have the old Sega Master system, with that most kick arse of games, Alex Kidd. Man those were the days!

Ah the memories. There was a couple in the airmen's club at Lakenheath that were really fun, Out Run and Afterburner.

yep, afterburner, had that one on my old AMIGA. That was some computer. I only sold it last year, about 18 years old and still worked like a dream.

Frogger?

Is that the same game depicted in a Sienfeld episode? George Kostanza had to get the game across the street with an auxiliary power supply, engineered by 'Slippery Pete' (Peter Stormare of 'Fargo' fame).

Defender rules!! Man I wasted some serious money riding my motorcycle up to the 7-11 to play that game. And Tempest!!! And my favorite because of the subwoofer in the machine, Space Duel.

Aarh man I can hardly remember the names of those games, but heck I hardly ever played such machines.

I had a Nintendo 64 which I used to play all sorts of games on..

Anyhow I was always more of an outdoors person.

The local 7-11 store was our arcade till we were old enough to get to the Mall....

Asteroids, Space Invaders and Dragons Lair were the ones we played in the early 80's....

I'm too young for the early generation of arcade games, I grew up on Street Fighter 2, Daytona USA, Sega Rally etc
