What do you guys use to edit animated *.gif files?

Any suggestions for reducing physical size or file size (memory)?

I use Adobe Imageready to edit gifs...God knows if I can remember how...

I use this, it's pretty basic, just drag and drop check loop or not, but it's free

oh wait u mean edit? use ImageReady, it comes with Adobe Photoshop

Yeah, I did the same for mine. You should be able to it in both Photoshop and Imageready (although I never looked into it), there should be tutorials on the web.

Imageready also...

You can edit in Photoshop or Imageready, and switch between the two with a handy button...

To reduce file sizes you need to:

a) Reduce the colours to the acceptable minimum - say from 256 to 16

b) Reduce the overall size of the image

c) Reduce the actual number of frames in the animation if possible

If you post it here, I might be able to fix it - but there are limits to what you can do..
