    What year is it?

Let's see if you can figure this out without cheating, ie. the world famous web!

January 16 – The FBI kills the Barker Gang, including Ma Barker, in a shootout.
February 22 – Airplanes are banned from flying over the White House.
July 16 – The world's first parking meters are installed in Oklahoma City.
March 22 – The world's first Televison program is transmitted from the Funkturm in Berlin, Germany.
May 29 - CMStP&P begin to operate its famous Hiawatha train, between Chicago and the Twin Cities. Eastbound 100 and westbound No. 101. Much of the train, coaches and trucks, was designed by the Swede Karl F. Nystrom.

Fairly certain it was in the 1930's and I thought the first transmission was in 1936 for the Berlin Olympics.

    I will guess 1936.

It was the same year that the first Bf109 flew (civ. reg. D-IABI)...

    Ok, here's the next challenge!

Jan 13th - The Church of England accepts the theory of evolution.
Mar 19th - Toronto Maple Leafs score 8 goals in 5 minutes
Jun 23rd - Civil Aeronautics Authority (US) established
Sep 16th - George E T Eyston sets world auto speed record at 357.5 MPH
Dec 8th - Highest temperature for December in US recorded in La Mesa Calif

And no cheating...going to Wiki to find the answers will result in everlasting guilt, flat beer and countless unsolicited Viagra spams in your inbox...
