Country: | Its still the most loved sport on the planet. Allways has been allways will be. More people tune into the World Cup than the Olympics. It has passion, most games are fast paced and full of excitement. The score does not have to be 15 to 13 to be exciting.

Country: | yes it occurs in every sport but the officials seem to buy into the act far more in soccer to me it seems the Latin type countries with all the guys pretending to be Fabio have perfected the art

Country: | No the officials call fouls because according the rules they are fouls no matter if the player is hurt or not. You knock a player over because you came into contact with his foot and not the ball because the ball was allready passed to another player is foul which is a foul which is a foul.
You have to understand the rules to understand the game.

Country: | England defeated Ecuador 1-0 today in Stuttgart.
I did not watch the 2nd half but the first was pretty boring actually. Well good job England and good luck for the next game.
They arrested several hundred English Hooligans today in Stuttgart when they drunkenly started saying rascist comments to German and Ecuador Fans and then began throwing furniture from the outdoor bier gardens and street cafes at them. It ended without any serious injury and I believe they will be released from jail after sobering up. The video footage looked really wild though.

Country: | Keeper made a bit of hash of it though, wasn't anywhere near as good as Argentia's extra time winner last night...

You have to understand the rules to understand the game. | okay fine but would it not be better to get up and back in the play rather then make googly eyes as you roll around feigning pain at the official in hopes he'll call a foul I am enjoying the games but the guys falling down like the Ukrainian dude etc are not making it more fun to watch

Country: | Believe it or not. Those that are on the ground feining in pain, are really in pain.
Dont take me wrong there are those that are not and in the end they the game goes on without them until they get up. They are pansies but that happens on a much lesser level than you make it out to be.

Country: | Like the the the guy from portugal who was struck on the thigh with the kicked ball and then gets hauled off by stretcher yes it probably stings and it'll bruise but the game is still going get up and stop swanning around like a spoiled baby

Country: | Whatever, you are entitled to think what you think.
Here is what I think though. I wonder how you would feel and react in a match if you were the one kicked with full force and speed in the thigh with football cleats on? Think about it.

Think about it. | If i was lucky enough to represent my Nation (pride) i would try and act like nothing happened yes it would hurt like hell but you gotta get up and try maybe its the hockey mentality but you never let the other guy know he hurt you .
