    You posted this in the right section. Thanks for posting it too. Unfortunately events like this are pretty common in countries that saw extensive bombardment during WW2.

    Indeed
    I live near to the city of Bristol, where they recently finished a new shopping mall; work was stopped on several occasions while they dealt with UXBs.

    My family was stationed on Guam back in the 80's, and us kids were often (and loudly) warned not to go into the boonies because due to the density of the jungle and underbrush, there was no way they could go search for all the UXB's and weapons caches. Once or twice a year, you'd hear about a boar-hunter who'd stumble across one.


    Pillage, then burn.

    Argue not with dragons, for thou art crunchy and go well on toast.
