Country: | Back to bombers: P-38s could be Fighter-Bombers or just bombers that is what made them great planes. Engines were limitig, but not that bad. The B-29 was a bestly monster, that was foud to do great hords of distruction when flown low over Japan.

Country: | They did understand, they weren't stupid. But as you can see from all the World War 2 bombers bigger could normally carry more. The B-29 could carry more than the B-17 because it was bigger.
