I believe you are right as far a security goes Erich, only one terrorist has to get through but the services have to try vet hundreds of thousands of visitors, Its almost impossible. In the hey day of the IRA it was hopeless to believe you could stop the odd bomber or sniper you can make things harder for them and it seems the US has done a pretty good job by taking the fight too them as opposed to waiting for an attack to arrive then reacting.
I hope you're wrong about being attacked again. I think the UK has had a couple of narrow calls ( the UK security forces have done some good covert work) but I would not be suprised by a successful incident either side of the pond, although the US is more of a target than the UK in the eyes of the terrorists.

As an active duty soldier and an Iraq veteran here is what I say to this and the media and journals that you site as your sources: "WHATEVER!!".

Who cares if we have not found any WMD's. The man was a tyrannt. He had to go. He ranks with Hitler and Stalin. The man used WMD's and would have used them again if he had been given the chance. These people say that we have killed more innocent Iraqi's than Saddam did? Again I saw "Whatever!!". He killed Thousands upon Thousands of his own people. I have had his people smile and shake my hand and hug me and my friends because of what we did. Every insurgent or "Terrorist bastard", whatever you prefer to call them that we killed there was identified as a foriener from countries such as Iran, Saudi Arabia and mostly Syria. I am proud that these turds are being killed. You know what the more and more I think about it, yeah Iraq may not really be part of the Global War on Terrorism as Bush likes to call it but you know what atleast all of those bastards that might want to try something like 911 are over there now and getting slaughtered!

I do not agree with Bush's polotics but I am proud to have served there in Iraq and done my part to rid the world of SCUM! The world is better off without Saddam and someday all the Peace activists in this world will see that when there Children dont have to worry about a Small Pox attack on them. These people over there hate all Westerners. They dont care if you were for or against Bush and the war, they will cut your head off and want to see every Westerner killed. They would kill you Kiwi in a heart beat and not even think about it.

As for the news journals and the news reports and newspapers out there especially CNN. They are all crap and feeding the people of the world with crap! They only show the bad things that happen there and not the great things that soldiers like myself have done there and died there to do. Unfortuanatly the world only likes to hear bad things and believes that is all that happens.

My heart goes out to all the soldiers before me and the soldiers after me that are making a difference.

There now I am sorry if I ranted for too long. I am finished now.

Adler your comment about they hate all westerners pretty much sums up what has been happening since the 1960's. when I was there in 1980 I was continually watching my back aka viet nam. cute little boys trying to sell you a card selection for a US 1.00 and then when purchased would conviently follow you..............you get my drift.

No not really, because only telling stories like that will get into these Green Peace Junkies heads that it is only a matter of time that they are going to try and do something like 911 again and soon they are going to try it in other places of the world. There is an arabic woman that lives here in Germany. I was watching a report on her and she says that she is living in the land of the nonbelievers and soon her people will be here to clense us. If I was the German Government I would boot her out of the country so fast and let her go back to her inpovrished nation and starve and be treated unfairly like most arabic woman are. I hate her, and I hate the people over there that come to Germany or other western nations and expect us to go out of our way to except there beliefs but then if you go to there nation god forbid you mention the word "Christ".

What about the British/Iraqi aid worker who lived in Iraq for like 20 years doing nothing but good things for the Iraqi people and they cut off her head! They think they are the civilized people in the world!

I agree Erich and Alder! The radical muslim wants every non-muslim killed. End of story! I'm sorry but the only way I see stopping this is to allow these radicals to confront the west and then eliminate them. For the most part I blame the clerics, they're the real problem source!

For the most part I blame uneduacation. But I agree they all have to die for this to end. Unfortunatly you kill 1 and 100 more stand up and call him a martyr. In the end this is the right thing to do though, confront them in there lands and not let them take it to mine.

Speaking of Germany again though. (I know of a lot of the news here because I live there) There is a muslim cleric who led a protest in Stuttgart a couple of weeks ago and said his people would not stop until a muslim flag was flying over the capital and the non believers were being punished. You have to love these assholes.

Friend you have to blame the German government for this. there have been so many mid-easterns come into eastern Germany esepcially but all over the country from many years back without security checks.....and this whole idea, "there will be nothing happening to us" quote is all much over. 9-11 could happen again anywhere.

we are now having problems with certain mixed national gangs with possible connections through the drug trade with mid eastern thugs. Well you can guess where this might go. One of the reasons a friend of mine on the Texas/mexico border is building a pillbox and underground bunker systems. No "foreigner" is getting on his property without a buller in the forehead. Scary proposition

What we should do (and I think Israelis already do something like this) is when a terrorist make himself explode on the public place, you take a regiment, go to the terrorist home, take the family out, fill the house with explosives and make it blow. BOOM !

After a couple of revenges like that, those bastards will light up that being a marthyr isn't such a good thing... When your familly no longer have a roof over their head.

Well, if we look at history, Lionheart got sick and "abandoned" Jerusalem to the Muslisms. So he didn't really held them in check.

Going back to my suggestion of blowing up terrorists' houses... Well, Alder, it seem to have worked a little for the Israelis. It surely won't stop the most fanatical jerks, but it may help to discourage the others.

If you look even closer at history, Maestro, you'll also find the losses the Muslims had to incur against the Lionheart. And also the fact that they did not stop the Lionheart, illness did.

It would have also been successful if the Austrians and French hadn't cried and ran off. England had to do it all on their own, as usual...bloody Continental Europeans...
