B17G Turbo Cockpit Control

Is there anyone familar with the B17G turbo control. There seems to be no documentation around that desribes it. It has numbers from 0 to 8 for normal operation and beyond for combat use. We are puzzling whether it has stops at each number or whether it is a continous rotating knob. As far as I am aware there are no intermediate marks between numbers. The numbers 0 to 8 are for the extra 8ins of boost that the turbo adds to the 38ins of manifold pressure at altitude.

I guess we need to get advice from an engineer or pilot that may have used or be familiar with this
knob. (It was electirical rather than hydraulically driven by oil pressure as in the earlier B17 models)

Thanks F
