So what's a good mix for steel?

i@ve got a pot of Humbrol MetalCoat aluminium, which has airbrushed a treat, but what would make a good steel finish?

Add a little black and Blue?

That's about right. Just try experimenting a little, until you get the effect you want. There are two 'steel' colours avaialbel in the Xtracolor enamels range, which are really excellent, it even smells like metal when the tin is opened! One is 'Steel', the other is 'Oily Steel'; both brush or spray well, and really look convincing. Xtracolor are handled by Hannant's in the UK, but they'll only ship with a kit. However, SBX Models, Ipswich, will ship, post free! Just Google SBX Models to find them.
