DBII's 38 Special

I have been trying to post these since Dec 08. A couple of these photos go back to the mid 1970's.

D***, I am getting old.

That ugly P38 was Scatterbrain. A bad thunderstorm blew in that year and the Wings Over Houston was closed down. My father has a couple of pictures of her in the air. I liked the second seat but the clear nose and camo just did not look right. It crashed so I was never able to get a better picture.

Putt Putt Maru was one of my favorites at the Lone Star Flight Museum. It was sold, d*** it. They keep doing that. It was nice to drive out to Galveston and see a P48, P38, P47, F3, F4, F6 and F7 in one location. The only ones left are the F4 and F6. BTW, that is a PBY in the background. It is not in flying condition, but still nice to look at.
