Any of you with small children will recognize this character. Taken under stage lights at 1/100 shutter speed, no flash, hand held.

The other three are just random other shots of Disney. I am just taking some time until I leave for the show in about an hour or so. Next series of pictures will be either later tonight or tomorrow from Chino.

That is a nice shot of your boy Eric I just love portraiture> I remember when I was in the Photographic society the Judges would have said its a great shot but the soda carton is distracting. But for me it adds to the picture I see a young fella out for the day having lots of fun and the eyes tell me the person behind the camera is very important to the lad, the highlights in the eyes are perfect not to much and not too little.
No bull Eric you have every right to be proud of that shot its a cracker.

Here is a way to practice pan and prop blur technique. Use passing vehicles at low shutter speeds. This was a fun exercise. One of two came out good. You want the vehicle in focus with the wheels and the background blurred. Focus on your subject and try to track the vehicle through the viewfinder with the shutter at 1/50.

Thanks for the tips Eric, I'm off to Italy tomorrow evening but that multiplier still hasn't turned up if it doesn't show in the morning looks like I'll have to wait till I get home to try it which is a bit annoying.

Nice shots Eric like the combo of youngsters and flags.
That sup lens arrived for my Olympus while I was in Italy so never got a chance to test it there, but i still manage 1000 + shots with the standard lens

Thanks Lee. I have been trying to catch more "moment" shots. Keeping an eye on the world around me for those kinds of shots is something I have been trying to work on.

At least your new lens got there. Now you have a new toy.

Like wise Eric In Italy I managed to get some fairly good candid shots of people which Ill stick in my picture post thread

bit of a late edit Eric just thought I would let you know Ive sent off for one of those Sigma 50 - 500 teles, found a guy in Hong Kong who seems to be about as good a deal as I can find the US Postal charge started pushing up the price a bit high and the delivery times where rather slow also I get a few goodies thrown in UV filter etc which helps as its a big piece of glass to cover (as you know) I'm going to hit FL at Duxford in a few weeks so soon as it arrives I shall be doing lots of home work to get ready.

Alright, great pictures as usual but I have to ask you a question. What software do you use to shrink your photo's to be able to put them on the internet? I just downloaded winjpegcompression and it ruined the photo by the time it got small enough to use. This is frustrating me. My new camera doesn't take small enough pictures to put on the internet.

thanks
