    Now, I am guessing no one has posted something about this before (I truly hope, but you all know me by now...)
    I just found an absolutely wonderful site that has, hence its name, letters, reports and various other accounts from all periods of history. Whether you want things dating from Ancient Greece to things dating to Nixon they have some absolutely wonderful sources.

    EyeWitness to History - history through the eyes of those who lived it

    My personal favorite is about President Wilson's declaration of war on Germany in World War 1.

    Though frankly I like them all....
