Those are just a sample (and don't show the camera trouble if you want to try and troubleshoot it I will post some of the pics). Might post up a few videos at some point. Weather was sunny all day but most of the time the sun was towards you with the aircraft in between which unfortunately means the sides facing you were in shadow.

Good shots Gnomey.

You have a spot on your lens that needs cleaning. It's just to the right and down from center in every shot.

I see it (although it was the least of my worries as I was getting pics looking like this: http://f3.yahoofs.com/users/41a9f969...YOqBFBNVD.EuMf or http://f3.yahoofs.com/users/41a9f969...YOqBFB4BeD3u5p)

What settings are you using to get prop blur Eric? I tried all the setting of ISO on my camera as well as changing the exposure time but still couldn't get it.

Yikes! Is it a film, or digital? If film, it looks like either you got a really bad batch of film, or you have a light leak somewhere in your camera.

My standard airshow settings are ISO 200 (I know it violates the rules of high-speed photography...screw the rules!). I normally shoot in shutter priority for the best results (so far anyway) with a shutter speed as low as 60 for taxiing aircraft, up to 400-500 for fast movers in the sky. If you have stuff in the background during a pass and a steady hand, you can get a nice pan shot with prop blur at about 125-250. A pan shot means that your subject is in focus, while your background is blurry, caused by the motion of the camera tracking the airplane. When you can catch it, it's great. I don't think my hand is quite steady enough as I am about 25-40% on pan shots.

Looking again, in this shot, you can see evidence of a light leak

The way that purple streak is looks very much like the light leak I had in my Minolta many years ago.

It is digital, the problem fixed when I turned off Auto White Balance and set it to sunlight and then somehow fixed itself and it worked on AWB again.

Some of the shots will have wierd lighting as I was shooting pretty much directly into the sun.

Hmm, something is definitely not right with that. I would send a description of the problem and some shots to the tech support for the manufacturer and see if they know what it is.

They removed the warranty because it has already been back 4 or so times... Might just get a refund and get a new one.
