| This one is actually a top flite kit. I normally like to build from my own plans and scratch everything but I got alot of gift certificates to a local hobby shop so I bought it. You really can't see from this view but I also installed retracts and a gear sequencer for the innner gear doors. That was a first for me but it's pretty cool. I'm also copying the kit and making a tempest MK V. It's pretty much the same as a seafury but the wing is longer and the fuselage is quite a bit different (which is where I am at this point in the build ).

| everybody is a critic. On the lighter side, I was going for the look of howard pardue's seafury that's on the airshow circuit. Plus a few other personal touches such as the year my son was born and his initials will be added on the tail. I'm gonna try for the official stuff on the tempest. I have the scheme, I just have to finish the plane. Hopefully before I start on my corsair and B-25. "So many projects with so little TIME "

| Can I ask about the pink P40. I saw this museaum on holiday a couple of years ago and wondered about the colour then, is it anything like an original colour? I know pink was used on RAF PR aircraft but it wasn't nearly as garish as this and P40's were not used by the RAF in specialist PR squadrons. |

Sorry I'm so late getting back to you on this, I've been busy with alot of things and not been able to spend as much time on the computer as I would like. Anyway, from my understanding, the pink is from the red pigment they used in the desert brown camo and when the sun faded the paint, it actually turned a pinkish color. the owner of the plane is Sue Parrish who was a wasp pilot. she also has a t-34 that is pink. I think she likes the color.
