My attempt at night photography

After seeing those night shots in Njaco's thread, it inspired me to give it a go. This is the first time I've tried this, and I was pleased with some of the shots I got, however a tripod would have been nice! and I'm no expert when it comes to photography. Anyway this was all an experiment and I had great fun doing it. Here are some of the "better" shots.

Nice! Tripods definitely help with night shots, but these came out pretty nice.

Nice photos Wildcat.

Wish I could take better pictures. When I get a good one, it's by accident.

Good stuff. I have taken some night shots with my new camera since I have been here in SA (by favourite is a night traffic shot). Will see if I can get them uploaded at some point.

Instructions? Blah!
Thanks for the comments guys, all done for a bit of fun, and even though they're not the greatest photos, I was happy with how some of them turned out.
By all means post any night shots you guys have taken as I for one, would love to see them.

Very nice Wayne! I haven't managed to get a decent sunrise/set shot yet... but I'm working on it.
