Yup sure is lucky, its a timber rattler you can tell by the white and black bands on its tail. I grew up in a small town and when i went riding wed see them all the time, most of the time the horses would let you know where they were but every once and awhile youd get a little closer than you wanna be Ill never forget one morn my mom was leaving for work and walked out the front door, laying across the front walk was a 6 1/2 foot diamond back sleeping she came in the house and told my dad about it so he goes out there with a 30/06 and shoots it. My mom was so mad at him it blew part of the walkway apart
