Country: | Clave, I believe all P-39s used by the RAAF were hand me downs from USAAF squadrons in Aus and New Guinea. One source I have states they were most likely painted Earth brown and foliage green with sky blue undersurfaces.

Cool Clave.Colours are good but the yellow strip is still incorrect I'm afraid.I know why,the shadow of the vertical stabilizers misled you.There is Wojciech Sankowski's colour profile of the Polynin's P-39.
