I have to rest now, and by rest I mean 'update my site'
Popular opinion is telling me to do Lightnings or Zeros, so my next project will probably be a PZL or something...

Country: | Clave.Well done.
But as far as the Polish P-39 is concerned. In A.Morgała's article published in "Lotnictwo z szachownicą" magazine no.22 I've found a short description of colours of the P-39.This was made by A.Borowczyk in late 40's.All upper surfaces were painted with US paint which was used by Bell factory.Because the paint tonality changed itself due to weather conditions and usage it was olive colour with sand tonality.Lower surfaces were painted with light blue-grey paint. The fin and the strip under vertical stbilizers was yellow and its front edge went direct down but not like in your profile..The rudder was red with yellow number "01".It is also possible the number was white ,but looking at the pic of this P-39 I've got impression it was yellow rather.
Some more infos on the P-39,
P-39Q-21BE built in 1944.Armament - 37mm cannon and two 12,7 MGs.
The plane was Gen. Fiodor Polonin's personal a/c when he was the commander of the Russian 6th Air Force. In 1944 he was designated the Polish Air Force Commander and on 31st of October 1944 he landed with the plane on Hyże airfield near Zamość
