The pilot of the inverted Seafire IIC didn't find it wicked, he drowned.

Side note (in case anyone actually cares): The tribal class destroyer HMCS Haida, which is trailing HMCS Warrior in one of those pics, is now a memorial in Hamilton Ontario Canada, on Lake Ontario.
