| I've gotten pics of the house in the past, but not this time. To me, architecture looks better when photographed in B&W infrared....nobody makes infrared film anymore, since 99% of the population has gone to digital (its easier to use a Photoshop add-on to flip-flop your images, instead of having to have a small modicum of talent prior to snapping the picture), and infrared filters for your lens are still pretty expensive. I know Cokin makes a filter, and I've seen instructions on modifying a Cokin to fit in a circular filter housing so that you can screw on the filter instead of having to deal with all the Cokin stuff (nice filters, BTW, don't get me wrong, I just quit using all but the basic filters years ago...have a cheap haze filter on my lens to protect it, and occasionally pop a polarizer on when needed, but all the extra color filters and holders were just too much of a hassle for me to bother with them much anymore...again, I prefer to get the colors/shots that I need BEFORE I snap the pic). Mod a Cokin P007 to fit into a screw-in filter

| Great pix of your daughter...she looks like she was having a blast I hear ya' about the filters, and I'm still kicking myself in the arse for letting all of mine go. I had quite a collection back when I was into 35m/m...

| Great shots! It's hard to realize just how big the H-4 is until you're inside (or underneath)...I remember seeing it when it was in Long Beach. We used to go down and visit the Queen Mary and hop across to see the 'Goose. I'm glad it's in an environment where it'll be cared for.

| Took the wife and kiddo to the Fort Worth zoo yesterday. They had a sign on the cashier's window saying that the herpitorium is closed until a new exhibit opens in Feb 2010. Pissed me off, I always love taking pics of snakes and lizards and frogs and stuff! Also decided I need a new lens. My Quantaray 70-300mm has been a good lens for the last 15 years, but its taking forever to focus, and pics taken at anything greater than about 80mm have a very washed-out, contrasty look. I'm doing waaaaaaaay too much Photoshop touching up. Anyhoozle...here's a few shots that either came out okay, or were salvageable via Photoshop.
