    RabidSnaps

The wife and I went to the Dallas Arboretum today for their Pumpkin Fest (massively crowded!). We invited my wife's stepmom and sister-n-law and nephew to go with us....so, of course, the rest of the family invited themselves along. Rah. What a fun day of over-opinionated in-law time! I did manage to get a good shot or two (I think, at least):

BEHOLD....THE POWER OF PHOTOSHOP!!! (read with thundering Thor-voice) The color version wasn't all that inspiring. After flipping it to B&W...I'm very tempted to go back and play with the other two from the same plant. Textures are so much fun to try to capture!

    Great colors!

Also good Bee shots, very nice!

B&W is alot of fun to work with, it really shows textures and contrasts far better than color, well done!

The other two leaf-shots...original image, plus B&W with some brightness/contrast editing (I like my B&W's with a bit higher contrast and lower brightness):

What a little cutie, RA! Did you get any pics of the old DeGolyer house while you were there? It really is a lovely place.
