    ...wings are involved though, naturally...

    The Banded Demoiselle or Calopteryx Splendens is a Damselfly found in southern England, Wales and Ireland.

    It's habitat is lowland streams and rivers with muddy bottoms.



    The male is blue/green with dark patches on the wings, the female is normally green with no bands on the wings.
