Some more under water stuff Skim.
I know there is a lot of leg pulling about the quality of the
Italian forces during WW2
But the guys who made up the Italian frogman special forces I rate as some of the wars elite
Indeed as an elite force they pre date the SBS or the SEAL's being formed in 1938.
Equipped with Flottigla Mezzi d'Assalto ( Flotilla Assault Vehicles) and using the early and dangerous re-breather equipment
they made several daring attacks against the British in the Mediterranean
