Country: | 7/7 a year on A year ago Britain had it's own suicide attacks, killing 52 people when bombs exploded on three trains and a bus during rush hour. There is a 2 minute silence at noon today. The tube is more in use now than the day before the attack. Can't believe it's been a year

Country: | What is so special is that these bastards who did this were born in Britain, they didn't come from abroad, they were born and breed in Britain! It makes me sick.
God bless all those who were killed or hurt on that day.
Most of the police forces in our country are sure that it is only a matter of time until this is attempted again.

Country: | besides the memorial for the fallen in London what about what happened to day ? captured some mid-east smuck that had plans to bomb out the NYC underground trans system. Now if the Lebanese don't get soft we can "play" with this guy too.
how about the date back in 44: 7-7-44 Blitzschlacht über Oschersleben when the first concentrated SturmFw attack became known, the poor 492nd bg with B-24's almost got massacred. 55 heavy bombers went down on this almost unknown date, few to Me 410's the bulk to JG 3 and JG 300 heavy Sturms, both 8th and 15th AF lost many .............
salute ! |

Country: | Stab and II./JG 300 and their SturmFw's claimed 11 B-24's in 10 minutes... At the end of the days combats, the 1st force lost 26 B-24 Liberators... The 492nd BG lost 12 B-24's alone, making this a catastrophic event...
For the loss of 4 pilots and 5 aircraft from IV./JG3 and JG300, 26 Liberators were shotdown, and this was the beginning of the mass use of the Fw 190A8/R2...
What a day indeed...

Country: | well that is not actually correct as there werer 15 th AF bomber losses which were huge, there was an overlap and the French guys did not do all of their homework, JG 3 sturms shot down the bulk of bombers, JG 300 went off trying to defend the Me 410's. In any case 55 bombers were lost just in the ETO. 15th AF boys came up from the south and went into central Germany and got stuck in a fist fight. US archivs admit to looses of 55, and it is funny the surviving Luftw sturm fw pilots that I have interviewed all say what a insane day it was with the # 55 standing out quite prominently. for once and it was very very few times that German claims to US actually losses were accounted for
crap war sucks ! |

Country: | we are still planning to expand the 7-7-44 mission on our website sometime into multi-pages.
~ The 15th flew both bomber types. Interesting to note that the 15th aircrews noted the Me 410's more than the Fw 190Sturms which did much more damage than the twin engine types.....will have to look but they came up to Bleckhammer and then into central Germany and really got clobbered as they fell right amidst the Luftwaffe after they/Luftwaffe-had already stormed the 8th heavies. It really is a confusing battle though |

Country: | Wow, turning London's terrorist attacks into SturmFW attacks on US bomber streams. Priceless.
