. | Ford and GM are not all that healthy now with sales of all the automakers dropping by double digits that can't really brighten their outlook |

Country: | True, that...Evan. I was backing McCain, then with further investigation into WTF is going on..I'm sorry, everything he stood for before, which I praised him for is bunk. He has waffled if not blatently crawfished on almost everything that I held him in such high regards for....ffs.
Every election, I wish for the lesser of the two evils..this time...i'm writing in. AND I resent the fact that I have to throw away MY vote. Its bad enough that the whole system that was put into place with the original Democracy idealiogy..1 man, one vote principal is pretty much a lie, nowadays....and THIS, one more friggin election FULL of 'yes' men.

Has anybody seen the earmarks on this bill? My understanding is it also provided $190 million for rum. I thought this was a Wall st bill and not congress' personnal checkbook!!!
Does anybody know what else was in the bill?

For years they were more than happy to sell a new car with no money at all downpayment (I know, I bought a Pontiac that way once!)... and then came the $0 interest, no payments until 2009 ploy... and then came 20 years of vehicles that fall to pieces just after the warranty expires... and then came forgetting to build affordable fuel efficient models... and then, within the last week they, being desparate, saw the cost of gasoline drop by a full $2 a gallon - Suddenly! |

Does anybody know what else was in the bill? | It's a whole huge list of tax breaks, like the Rum guys got... which was "only" $162,000,000.
They claim there are protections in the bill, but given that it grew from being 2 1/2 pages on up to 106 pages, and the final version being 2 1/2" THICK... I'd say the chances of those "protections" being written in plain english are fairly slim.
Matter of fact, it reads pretty much exactly like the little flyer you get from your credit card company when they send you another charge card. In other words, legal gibberish which they reserve the right to change in any way they please whenever they please with or without notice... at your expense.

Country: | Here are a couple of examples I got from grassfire:
-- millions of pork for Hollywood producers
-- millions more for stockcar race track owners
-- more than $192 million for Caribbean rum producers
-- over $200 million for Alaskan fisherman
WTF?!?! Bailout my ass, it's more "support my pet project to get me re-elected". It's time to clean up that house, no more incumbents, term limits and more visibility for the average American as to what is REALLY going on with our crooked government. I have had it!
