Country: | Adam + Eve = Pennsylvania... WTF ? Okay, I need an American to reassure me. Is it true, or is the Québec's Anti-American propagenda machine has gone crazy ?
Something passed in the news on TV a few minutes ago, concerning Darwin's Theory and some right-wing Catholics in Pennsylvania. Those weirdos went in Court to force the local school to teach the "Adam & Eve Theory" instead of Charles Darwin's "Theory Of Evolution".
As most of you knows, I got a scientist mind : I beleive only facts. Add to that the fact that I never beleived in God, Allah, Buddah, or whatever you call him.
Beleiving in Jesus, Moise and all other Bible's characters is one thing (historical facts proved that they really existed, but we won't talk about their acts), but I can't imagine someone weird enough to beleive in the "Adam & Eve Theory". Not only is it completely stupid, but it is genetically impossible.
If Adam & Eve really existed then, all humain would look approximately the same. Everyone would have the same hair, eyes and skin colours. We would also have the same blood type. So they are saying that all of the Blacks, Asians, Arabs and Natives are not even humain.
And if I remember well, Adam & Eve (in the Bible) had two childrens... Two boys. Who beared the child for the next generation ?
Being a great fan of Darwin's theories, I can't beleive there is still peoples beleiving a 2000 years old theory that was prooved wrong.
So tell me, is the Québec's Anti-American propagenda machine has gone crazy ? |

Country: | The Bible characters actually existing is up for debate - but not really one for here ...anywhere on this whole site because it'll end up a slanging match, as religious discussions always do.

Country: | Actualy, me262, I think it is more like 6 billions... But that's not really important.
The goal of my post was not to kick some beleivers' ass. You can beleive in God, Allah, Buddah, or even beleive in E.T. being our creator like Rael's gang think, I don't care. What really bugs me is the fact they want to take legal actions against schools to force teachers to teach a theory that was prooved wrong instead of Darwin's logical theory. Those parents don't even want biology or science teachers to teach Darwin's "Theory Of Evolution".
Man ! This is just insane. A school is supposed to be a place where you learn true things about life. If you absolutely want to know (or even beleive) in "Adam & Eve", religion courses are made specially for that. Don't force biology or science teachers to teach religious theories ! |

Country: | Yeah, me too. But as I said before, I'm a great fan of Darwin.
His theories are very logical and most of them (if not all of them) where prooved right. |

Country: | Maestro, there are a few nutcases here in the US that just happen to have inherited some money and think they can sue to get their way. Their are also shitbag lawyers that will take their money and file a case. If the judge is worth a damn, he will throw it out.

Country: | I hope that would be the case. I'm a big fan of Darwin's theories but then being a biologist I should be...
