Country: | Enough said mate, I wish you well for the future.
I think thats why the wife booked this holiday as I lost a work mate a month ago (among other things) that Ive known for 35 years so we thought f**k it lets make the most of life none of us know whats round the corner and as he was the same age as me it has made us re-think what direction we intend head.
Dont laugh (well not too much anyway Skim) I'm off on a survival course in April, its on a deserted Island off the west coast of Scotland with an ex Army Survival expert and nine other guys. All we take in the way of tools is a 4inch Bushcraft Knife and some para cord , there's not even any trees on the place just bracken and bushes. it should be fun, I've a feeling its going to be a sea food diet unless there's a few bunnys around. |

Country: | Well Trackie either that or you are going to bloody starve for a week. My condolances about your work mate and to his family. Mate get away for awhile no matter what it is. One goes nuts doing some old rut day in day out with out some time out from the mundane let alone dwelling on our own morality. |

Country: | Cheers EM
I could eat worms and did many years ago but although they claim its pound for pound nutricious as a beef steak it sure don't taste the same. I think Id rather come down your neck of the woods and chomp a few witchatee grubs by all accounts they dont taste bad I have also just found out theres a few feral goats there so it should be a nice easy week. The Island is only a mile long by a three hundred yards wide so catching one should be easy peesy.
Its on google earth just off the coast of the island of Islay and called Texa
Anyhow thanks for the kind words mate |

Country: | No worries mate. Wife and I are in process of working out our next jaunt over seas in May-June 2007. but far be it from me to say your little island trip will be the bees knees mate. whilst you do your survival thingy Wife and I will do our best to survive in 4 to 5 star hotels in Singapore and Cebu hahaha and before you say where is your sense of adventure mate i did all that years ago doing it rough and living like a bloody vagrant in Aussie Scrub. setting up a Hotchie and getting soaked and baked not a good idea for me and don't thinks wife would enjoy it either

Country: | Nice to see you again Trackie! Just realised that you, me and Emac are all railway men! Good lord, you come here to get away from work...
Speaking of holidays, me and the missus are hoping to get over to Europe at the end of the year, subject to money of course...
