Not to mention that your sales tax has just had to go up to 19% is it? to bring it into line with the French, who of course refused to lower theirs.

No doubt the BDO in Adelaide this coming week will see many flags flying again...

Good. If for no other reason than it scares the crap out of the French.

I hadn't noticed. It doesn't, because the French are, as usual, so intent on admiring themselves that they haven't spotted it yet. They are still living in the 1970s, when the Germans were so frightened of awakening old memories that they would agree to anything and everything the French said. One day, the French will realize that's changed, and they can't dictate to the Germans any longer.

Fascinating. But are the French women as passionate as the stereotypes or a humongous pain in the *** like I envision.

Well my wife son and I just arrived back home from the Philippines on the 26th January Australia day. not having seen anything about any debate on our flag at the Big Day Out in Sydney. My opinion is this the organisizers of this event banning the Australian Flag they need an immediate enema via the ears to flush out their collective mindless brains. I came home to a day of the Aussie regardless if some Aboriginal groups see it as Invasion Day or some Croates or Serbs see it as something else. We were driving back from Brisbane Airport and on the back of this 4wd vehicle was the Australian Flag being waved proudly . Political Correctness can go to hell as far as I am concerned. I received an email from an old school friend of mine to how immigrants to this country had struggled to make a life for themselves in Australia from the early 1900s to the end of WW2 and up until mid 1970s and 80s and the pride that these immigrants had acheived in becoming Australians and stark contrasts to our current immigrants who come here thinking its ok to have an Aussie passport and citizenship but still wave their respective National flag and pretned to still be say Pakistani or Croat or Serb or even Afghani etc and allowed to be like this and any one who differs is labled a racist or its not political correct etc. To those people I invite them to take advantage of an Australian custom. If you don't like it here you can leave any time you want. in other words piss off and don't let the door hit you in the arse when you leave and have a bonza day at it arsehole. but i am glad people decided to ignore the ban of the Australian National Flag at big day out run and organized by little day minded idiots

French women passionate? No. They may have appeared so 60 years ago to the Brits and Yanks who in those days were coming from a globally more straightlaced society, but these days, it's just the opposite. They're no better in the sack, and a lot less good out of it. I've had a number of French girlfriends over the years, before I got married, and they really don't live up to the reputation.

Emac, you've got me worried there. I sympathize with you, but do you really want me to become French? And wave my (white) tricolour instead of the Union Jack that I do wave?

Let me post a picture of the French flag just here, so you can see:

Sorry - it doesn't show up very well against the background! (Which was white in the post square - forgotten it wasn't, here!

I dated a French girl for a while right after I graduated High School. I thought she would be awesome in bed. It took me so long to get into the pink and when she finally let me, I was so bored...

There you are!

Why everyone thinks the French are the best at this or that, have the best food, are the most cultivated, best lovers, etc, escapes me utterly; and I've lived in France for some 20 years.

The only thing I can say is that a lot of people seem blindly to accept the arrogant nonsense the French believe about themselves.
