No they do not. It is a flag. If they prefer it where they came from then they can go back.

The Republican Debate was put to a referrendum which was defeated and as such is a dead issue but for only Republicans who refused to acknowledge the Defeat at the referrendum. As for changing the Australian Flag means LITTLE IF YOU THINK THAT IT DOESN'T REPRESENT

And no Adler only a minority who want to change the Flag and our history and our symbolism in Australia. The majority of Australians still claim British ancestry even though Frank thinks otherwise. Changing the Flag has never been seen as a logical debate unlike the referrendum for Republic which was defeated in 1999. I am not saying that the debate of changing the Flag hasn't occured but in my opinion its far from being logical. Its like we as Australians have to apologise for our history so it doesn't offend non British migrants or Aborigines in this country or those who don't come from British ancestry etc

Frank in this forum any one has the right to comment on any issue regardless of which country they come from. If you had read all the comments instead of just a few on this issue. The debate was began by an American Citizen. If you want to exihibit ignorance you have just done it by your comments to Adler about him not being abled to express his opinions.because he isn't an Australian Citizen. You go on about the rights of people coming to Australia and your own ideas of democracy or the Australian Flag debate or Republican Debate. You just shot yourself in the foot. And if it was you who sent Adler a private message of him being a Nazi then you certainly betrayed yourself as an ass. And as such I have nothing further to say to you as I am debating a juvenile who just betrayed his own narrow minded viewpoints

Having lived through the flag debate in 64 the old guys and vets did not wish to give up the ensign for what they called a "Bacon Wrapper" if you asked the same guys today I bet most 99% would say they were wrong .

Why is it that some people who migrate to this country think that this country owes them?? If anything it should be the other way around. It is a privlige to come to this country NOT a right. As for changing our flag Frank, you can jam that idea up your arse. Our country was founded on that flag and many better men and women than you died defending that flag. If you are not happy in this country then piss off, no one here will miss you!

And Frank its ok for you to feel pride in the Italian TriColour and wear it as your right to do so. But you want to deny other Australians their heritage and our history because you don't like the current flag. That Frank is hypocracy. And you are right Wildcat people who immigrate here to Australia need to realise. That they chose to immigrate here. We didn't ask them to and as such they have to expect that what they left behind in their former country is part of them But in saying that they do not have the right to change what is here in Australia due to Australians having the right to cherish what we have. In other words no one asked you to come here and no one is asking you to stay. But its like some think they get invited to a new home by a welcoming owner and then say to the owner that they want to change the carpets or the wall paint as it doesn't suit their taste. And to those Aussies that want to be political correct and change the flag for reasons that Frank put forward I suggest you start thinking of immigrating some where else if you aren't satisfied with what our Flag represents
