Excerpt:
THE Australian flag has been banned from this year's Big Day Out in Sydney after organisers branded it a "gang colour" and symbol of hate.
Organisers of the Aussie rock festival at Homebush will confiscate any flag or bandana bearing the national symbol at the gate.

Country: | Dont worry boys, this absolutley stupid and insulting decision has totaly backfired on the idiots who made it. Everyones critising it, from the Prime Minister to the average kid on the street. I can assure that this event will be a see of Red White and Blue being waved as proudly as ever! God help anyone who opens their trap against it! |

Country: | I see it isn't just happening in the states, then.
What is the world coming to when it's illegal to have pride in anything. Even if it's just for ones country. First, the United States pledge of allegance is banned from some schools because "God" is in it. Now the austrailian flag is banned from a nationwide event because it's viewed as racist.(WHAT???) What's gonna happen next. Oh I now, They'll ban Earth day because it'll offend Space aliens from Mars or something.
Come on people wake up. Banning "something" is not gonna make that "something" dissappear in fact it will have the opposite effect and make it worse when it's done in this way.
It's highly doubtful that you can potty train a kid in just one day. So how is this bright idea possibly going to work? Someone tell me if I'm off at all.

Country: | I'm more shocked at the fact that you lot haven't realised that it's ILLEGAL to wave the St. George or Union Jack in Great Britain. If I had a St. George flag and waved it in the town centre singing "God, Save the Queen" I could - and probably would, be arrested for enciting racial hatred.

It would seem to be time to examine where society
is headed when symbols of national pride and centuries of heritage are
considered artifacts of racial hatred. That is such a load of horsecrap.
I am as easy going as they come, but this would be enough to convert
me into something more sinister. |

That's mind boggling marc.

Country: | So you wear the Australian Flag in Australia at this gig and you can get arrested. But if I wear the PLO flag, I'm ok 'cause that shows tolerence?
