Country: | The last major military action the Chinese undertook was the border clash with VietNam where they got royally stung. For some reason they didn't use aircraft in the conflict.

| India is a democracy, PRC isnt.
Plus India and China have their own problems bewteen each other regarding the border area's in Tibet and Nepal.
India would sympathize with the US or at a minimum stay neutral. Openly side with the PRC, no way.

Country: | I kind of figured that, but thought it was worth mentioning as if they did side together, the rest of the world would be screwed, but I don't see it happening that way, thank god!

Granted it might not be as modern as ours but it is probably better than it was back then.

I wonder how it is between 1979 and now....

| Theyre getting smarter about it. The trend for them is to keep downsizing their military, while modernizing the units that are left.
One thing to remember is they share a long border with Russia, and have clashed with them in the past. Just because they have friendly relations right now, doesnt mean that a future PRC govt wouldnt want to stir things up.

Country: | Youll find theyre tactics are only obsolete when The Americans decide to fight them.
Begining of Korea, The NK was using T-34's and IL-2 attackers while the Americans had their new Bulldog tanks and F-# shooting Stars ECT.

| Their current strategy would be asymetrical warfare. They can unleash hordes of hackers to mess up our telecom infrastructure (the million man keyboarders?)

Country: | They'll hit "soft targets" nothing to do with the military directly. Banking, internet services, support organization's data bases - little things that will all add up....
