And the USMC has had those kind of ships for the last 20+ years.
Have you ever heard of the Wasp Class amphibious assault ship?
| yes, i had, i was posting that stuff to tell mk about how much the marine equiptment has improved, and the new navy ships will be more advanced than your 20 year old gear...........

Country: | Um Lanc the WASP Class is brand new they are even still building them. The Iwo Jima class is what is so old.
Besides how will know it will be better? Of all people in this forum have you ever trained with the USMC or the British military as a matter of fact. Have you ever been on a training excersise or in a combat environment.
Huh Lanc...?

Country: | The Makin Island I believe is a wasp class still under construction, then they are rolling into a new design immdediately after that for deployment around 2013 - the LHA(R). Sorry Lanc - the RN just ain't gonna outclass ours.

Country: | Just read that the US Atlantic Fleet is no more (on the Strategy Page). No Ruskies to threaten the East Coast anymore (the Vodka Sniffing missle is back in mothballs) so it has slowly faded away. Now a traning and transport command.
The Pacific Fleet is still alive and well. |

Huh Lanc...? | Aww, Adler. You've been hanging around Les too much. More diplomacy. Less instant @ss kickings.

I really like Lanc and enjoy conversing with him in this forum. I have told him (and I hope he remembers that) that if it is bothering him to pm me about it.
I have certain ways of talking with certain people. You think that I am bad with Lanc, you should see how I talk to syscom! I still like syscom though and would drink a beer with him any day.
