I can burn a Union Jack, and the Stars and Stripes with no problem from the law. But I cannot burn the Iraqi, Iranian or Pakistani flag without being arrested.
I can fly the Pakistani flag with no problem, but I am not allowed to fly the St.George without being branded a racist.
I can call all White Britons scum of the earth, or even call all Americans scum. But as soon as I insult a Jew (No offence, Eric, just an example), Hindu or Muslim even jokingly ... I'm a racist and shall be arrested.
Nick Griffin, the leader of the right-wing BNP, was discussing the problem with immigrants in Britain in a pub. He mentioned that Islam was an evil religion and did so after reading the Quran (So, he's not ignorant.). He claims, and rightly so, that Islam does not accept other cultures or other religions. This was in a pub amongst friends. But he was heard and arrested under Public Order Act for "enciting racial hatred".
These Muslims have openly said that Britain, and Europe, should burn but are free to walk. It seems, however, that the British people are tiring. The Sun newspaper, for example, has condemned the Metropolitan Police for not acting and arresting all protestors. And it's posting pictures of all the Muslims in the protest and condemning them and urging people to report them to police. In a Sky News Poll - 96% of the voters are calling for the protestors, and all threatening protestors in the future, to be arrested on the spot.
