Exactly, thank you.

also sad to note that like Ost Prussia, the Czechs during the latter weeks were dragging out Germans to shoot via revenge of the early war months and oddly enough the surviving Germans were used as slaves to help rebuild the crumbling villages/cities............it's all part of the terrible aftermath of war we rarely study or hear-about

The Czech just labeled them that.
I thought the Czechs, who made the drive-out crimes...

That's not true, this is the main issue here in the discussion... From my experience, I can say that so far, my generation is the first one to fully make it up. I have very good German freinds...

Oh my young friend it is very true, I had two customers that were US flyers, one of them a US B-26 pilot. somehow he and another were witnesses to several brutal murders by the Czechs in plain site and as the 2 US servicemen were not armed in anyway at the time (this after the war), they could nothing except scream NO ! War is fickle and it has not been broadcasted in complet written form for everyone to read. New htings pop up even here on these borads all the time that we have never heard of. My two German Ost Prussian friends witnessed others being shot on the spot by the Soviets at wars end, the Germans being suspect as being party members, one man in his 90's a farmer. So lovely having his wife and children witness the whole thing near their home in a field. another women and customer of mine lived in Berlin during the fall in May of 45 and witnessed as a little girl in hiding the ruthlessness of Soviet soldiers hauling out German men and boys of Hitler Jugend age, put against a building and shot on the spot. Only hours later could the families find somewhere in the rubble to bury their loved ones........

something very hard for us to comprehend

Actually dont laugh too hard. It was during that time that the German Saxons settled througout Eastern Europe. Some still have there own little areas in Eastern Europe. My Stepmother is Seven Mountain Saxon as they were called and they moved through Czech and farther into Eastern Europe and her group eventually settling in Translylvania in Romania. They still live there today and speak a German very close to the original Saxon spoken during that time. Ever hear of Vlad the Impaler (where the original Dracula Story comes from) He was Seven Mountain Saxon.

Well anyhow back to the topic, these Saxons settled into Czech, Hungary, Romania and so forth around the time that Erich is talking about.

No Pisis this was before there was a Czech Emporor. This was during the time when the Saxons were moving into England as well. Way before there was even a mention of Czech.

Yes, but they were kicked out by the Slavs when those came from the East. They have settled in the area where today BRD is. I repeat: Sudetenland had a minority of German population but as a territory, it was always under control of the Czechs.

Maybe what is similar is Normandie in France. It also had some British population but that was pulled out by the French.

No they were not kicked out by Slavs. My stepmother is a Seven Mountain Saxon and her family and relatives still live all throughout eastern Europe as well as Germany.

Yes, but they were a minority. They live there because of the colonization during the Agricultural Revolution in 16th Cent. and further... please don't mistake two different events.

I do not mistake two different events. It is obvious that you learn the history as your people wish you to know it and it is vise versa for me. The difference is most history books would agree with me and what Erich has stated.
