There are many groups of like individuals that you could generalize as leaning toward a particular party, but not a single homogeneous group that you lump democrats or repubs.

That is the problem. The world does not care to get to know McCain. He is automatically the "bad guy" because he is Republican. Obama shits gold bricks. If McCain gets press it is bad press. He could give a lollypop to a kid, and the world press will find a way to put it into the bad light.

Do not vote for a man because of his party, vote for what he is going to do.

I agree with that. I finally got to watch the debate yesterday, and I found no clear winner.

I did not think that McCain or Obama really touched any issues. In my opinion they were talking past each other.

McCain has always been against Torture. He has even been against the way Guantanomo has been handled and vocally said so.

Considering the alternatives people in some parts of this world have experienced over recent centuries, I for one am EXTREMELY grateful to have any opportunity to see the views of people who aren't Americans.

We Americans (I don't know about other nations) get precious damn little international news, and in fact get precious little news from our own war fronts!!! It's almost as if the only thing the controllers think important is what THEY want to say, not anything we MUST learn about.

So, these politicks forums are an outlet, as good as ham radio and cb, for having a chance at true international dialogue.

I'd much rather be talking about stuff than shooting about it, as long as possible.

And, as far as all the "redneck" nonsense, I resemble that! Anyone who would use that in a political discussion has about as much intelligence as a chigger.
