Country: | if manmade global warming is a bunch of hooey made up by almost ALL the WORLDS climate experts , the question is why ?...how do these people benefit from needlessly alarming all of us . if this is all a big practical joke, to WHAT END? is it because the climate science community wishes to commit mass proffesioal suicide when their fraud is discovered in ten or fifteen years . is climate science really all fakery and slieght of hand ..chemistry ,biology ,metalurgy ,anthropolgy, geology ...these are actual sciences but climate science is more like astrology perhaps ?..i personally have no science background whatever but many members here seem to dismiss these climate guys out of hand , can any of you sceptics explain your reasoning to a simple layman like me ? i agree that al gore may have made some errors in his movie but sadly i dont see how that changes the big picture much ,do any of you? |

Country: | Well, if your job is to work on climate change and it's proved to be false, then you are out of a job. For me it's much like the Millennium Bug; lots of people, who coincidentally got paid to check computers, were telling us that unless every machine was fixed planes would fall out of the sky and the world would end. Then there is the fact that our government is now taxing everything that is 'harming the planet'' and trawling out things like 'carbon footprint' on a daily basis. Thing is, if they were that concerned, shouldn't they be providing us with a free alternative instead of just raising taxes? |

Country: | Perfect example of conjecture to me. Usually scientists get more credit but as the environment has always been a leftie subject, I think the other side automatically criticizes it. And suddenly these scientists are all biased or all have their own agenda. Incredible to me...
Especially because as soon as there is another scientist in one or another online article who claims the opposite, he gets all the coverage he wants.
Though it's definitely true that the politicians tend to use this as a new way to raise taxes. That's not really a constructive policy IMO.

Country: | Civ, you hit it right on the head! Is there anything we can do right now to significantly change GW, right now?
Nature is in constant flux. This is not something that man is totally responsible for. And if we do stop our contribution it will NOT stop GW, maybe slow the effects.
Its like saying man is responsible for the extinction of the dinosaurs.

Its like saying man is responsible for the extinction of the dinosaurs. | it isn't nature and there is lots we can do . For example why it isn't nature they took core samples of ice in the Arctic and it has never been this warm since the last ice age .Summer temps in the 15c area where the previous highs were 5c on Ellesmere Island . They are actually farming in Greenland only hardy plants like the spud and turnip or rutabago but it's all new. The Arctic is changing at breakneck pace . The polar bears in the southern range of there habitat are starving because there are no ice floes so they can hunt

Country: | What caused the last ice age to melt? And lets agree with everything that was put forth. Those very same scientists stated that there was nothing man could do to stop it! So why waste the time and tax money? Nothing is going to stay the same.
The only thing that is permnent is change.

Country: | So what ?
Temperature is like a pendulum... Going from one end to an other. We had the tropical climate of dinausore era, then the Ice Age, and the the climate started to warm up again. And as far as I know, ther wasn't a cave man who got out of his cave to start up a snowmobile. |

Country: | Listen folks, everything man does is based upon "cost versus benefit". What I find lacking in the argument is not "whether" man is contributing to global warming, but "whether man is the PRIMARY cause" of global warming. I think any dolt would agree that man contributes. What I can't fathom is the liberal, leftist, gov't-knows-all pinheads that proclaim that we should all collectively eff up our economy to address global warming contributions that are miniscule in the milieu of planet physics. I have seen no proof otherwise. There are scientists on both sides of that argument. And the esteemed Nobel Prize winner Gore, is nothing but a schill for green propaganda.
So instead of demanding proof of us who are defending the norm, you provide us proof of your claims that the world is ending and my kids eating a bagle from the microwave is the cause. BS.

Country: | try toasting your bagel your kids will appreciate it much more , back on topic our society is not willing nor does it have the fortitude to do what is needed myself included. This leaves me with a moral dilemna I will now have to look at purchasing a weapon to protect me from all those desert dwellers who will have to migrate to the water , now I am familiar with the FN so i suppose that would be the best bet
