I really agree with both of you. I too don't really know enough except that it appears to me as another case of Chicken Little. These things just get me going and I apologize. I'm usually objective but I don't take what they always spoon feed me with.

An educated opinon. No, me neither. But a common sense opionon I think I can give. I work for local government and I see how much crap they feed to the public. My job requires me to be a mediator and therefore I do try to see both sides of an issue before commenting. But some things, to me, are so blantantly garbage, I get heated.

Who knows what the answer is. I just refuse to believe what they spout and try to do my small part, based upon my own observations.

The biggest impact humans have made was in australia thousands of years ago. Many beleive that the fires the aboriginies caused eroded away a huge lake in the centre of australia until all that was left was the outback. Burning on this scale didn't pulverize the aussies, they still go outside and drink beer on hot days, the Ozone hole sealed up, and everyone's been happy. Mostly.

A much bigger issue is the issue of Energy. When the oil runs out in about 60 years, whovever's left'll be screwed.

Then there's the ever-present threat of Yellowstone National Park's supervolcano going bang and crippling two thirds of the USA. An eruption, by the way, is overdue.

Not to mention HIV, which is constantly spreading like a plague through Africa.

And world poverty, as the rich in the world become super - rich and the poor become super - poor.

In other words, the world has much, much, much bigger problems than "Global Warming". The last thing we need is Al Gore (nice name) organising "Live Earth" to combat it.

Well, actually, if the world exterminated every single person carrying the virus, MAYBE it would end.... Every world citizen must have a blood typing, failure of which to comply results in forced seizure of sample... All found guilty of HIV infection are immediately terminated with any and all means necessary for a clean, efficient, swift death....

Anything short of that or a miracle medical breakthrough is futile...

Until the likes of Al Gore figure out a way to tax the Sun, we can plan on "global warming" being an excuse to blame the U.S for most of the cause of it and put the burden of curing it on the U.S. taxpayers back.

A few thousand years ago, there was one kilometer of ice over Québec City, and one day it all melted. As far as I know, there is no cave-man who got out of his cave to start a mower. So is it really our fault ? I don't think so.

Fact : The planet is warming.
Solution : Nothing we can do.

Whats really sad is all the time and effort chasing global warming and other pseudo myths, there are real live polluters dumping tons of real toxic waste into rivers and oceans. Rather than going after real polluters, the elitists left is making this an issue. It's like complaining that there's a hair in your soup while being served a shitsandwich!
