Ever since the "Global Economy" and NAFTA and GATT took hold here, we have become outsourcers - so, maybe America will hire China, India and Norway to drill for oil off of OUR shores.

That would make sense, in American business terms.

Aren't the dimoctas yelling to stop paying other countries for their oil? or is it stop drilling off the coast and at ANWAR? I'm confused.

The latest lunacy I saw on the news yesterday.
There is the eco group in our neighboring province, BC, that is planting trees payed for by their subscribers. The lunacy part.....they cleared a grove of trees to make space for their tree plantings!!!!

I'm aware of a similar event here they cut down trees so as to return the escarpment back to what it should be , I believe this the only part of Canada with this type of growth Carolinian usually found much further south . This was paid for by the organization that wished to build near escarpment

Speaking of cutting trees down. Like I said, I am not a hippy or tree hugger or anything but I do believe that we need to slow down the destruction of our rain forest.

Well do you know how we start doing this?

By stop printing so many damn catalogs. What kind of BS is that ****! I ordered a pair of shoes from Eastbay 3 years ago and I still get there damn catalog to this day. Same with Victoria Secrets, Fredricks of Hollywood, Eddie Bauer, Eurosport, Cabelas, etc...

Quit printing fricken catalogs for crying out loud! We are in the age of the internet. Nobody shops from catalogs anymore, they all order off of the internet!

Steps off of soapbox...

Good idea Chris, less catalogues and less pages in real estate contracts. Course then lawyers would not make as much money.

I trust Chris that you were not ordering anything from Victorias Secret or Fredericks for yourself!

But I do agree with you %100. Too much junk mail and catalogs. I think companies that mail out bulk mailings, junk mail, or random catalogs should have to pay a extra fee, to some type of tax, and that tax goes towards some type of conservation fund or towards some charity. Not only would this cut down on the amount of junk mail, etc. we would receive, it would also stop the amount of junk mail sent out.

The law of unintended consequences might say that if all that junk mail did not get sent the USPS might have to raise rates even more.
