Greatest World Leaders

Which people do you think deserves the title of a 'Great world leader?'

I would be interested to see people's picks and to hear WHY you chose who you chose. Keep it to about 5 folk (otherwise this thread will get very long.)

I'll wait for a day or two to put my picks in.

Hmmm, by "great" I will take that to mean most influential. I'll have to think about this a little bit...

The guy who invented beer. Closely followed by the dude who invented wine. Follow either one of them into any bar, any day!

I could put the popular most obvious ones out there, but I would like to put Lestor Pearson up there, for pretty much inventing the whole idea of peace keeping security forces.

Apart from the Space Race and the speach in Berlin, can anyone think of anything that JFK did right?

Aside from that he didn't do much except get the US involved in a bunch of covert activity all over the world. I read somewhere there was more covert operations under Kennedy than Eisenhower, Johnson and Nixon combined!
