Country: | Hillary Clinton - Her Own Words! She wants to take the profits made by the oil companies and use them for alternate energy research. Here in the US we could be pissed about gas prices and the profits made by the oil companies, but part of those profits go to stock holders, investors, people (like me) who have oil companies as part of their 401K portfolios. And what about the 6 million people employed in the US oil industry, you think they would appreciate seeing their companies profits "Taken." Watch the clip - this bitch is more dangerous than we could ever imagine, I hope her own big mouth is her undoing. YouTube - Hillary on Oil Profits

Country: | Annoying that those who are clueless on how to MAKE money have a zillion ideas on how to SPEND YOUR MONEY. As MKLOBY says, "socialism anyone".
Redistribute the wealth. No problem, go ahead. But what do you do after that Madame Knucklehead? The ones you give it too are generally too incompetent to do anything constructive with it. Rich people are that way because they plan to be rich. Poor people are poor because they don't plan at all. They don't invest in themselves, they don't give up today's consumption to have more assets tomorrow. True, this does not hold for the much of the world but it does for the US. If you want to get ahead, it requires hard work, dillegence and the williness to sacrifice today for tomorrow. But the opportunities abound in the country.
Carpe diem.
If that doesn't work, I suggest everybody try this one:
Noli nothis permittere te terere (also sometimes quoted as "Non illegitimis carborundum") |

Country: | I"d like to hear the full clip rather then a 30 second clip are we missing something that preceded it or followed it .Its bad to make a judgement on a sound byte in my opinion but then it aint my country. I've read that some of the more enlightened and larger investment groups are demanding ecological or enviromental responsability before investing

It's a good 30 second statement and there is no twist to her own words.

Country: | From her own site... "We need to reform our energy taxes so that large oil companies who reap huge benefits from unexpectedly high energy prices over the next two years will be required to pay a portion of their profits into the strategic energy fund." Statement from Hillary Clinton - Just Hillary.com - The Hillary Clinton News Site
If she was in Canada she'd be in the NDP...

Country: | Well the world is in crisis right now with global warming . and North America is lagging badly in alternative fuel sources and in technologies something has to be done and I wouldn't count on the oil sector to be at the forefront of there own "demise" . In watching the workup with future elections I'd be very surprised if she gained the nomination I think Edwards will be your next Dem nominee

Country: | I think eventually the oil companies will accept that their fuels which cause global warming will be obsolete. With that said we will always need crude oil products (oils, lubricant's etc.) It's a matter of weening away from fossil fuels without putting millions of people out of work and at the same time doing it quick enough so the planet isn't effected.
All that said, within the US I prefer to see this done without Clinton or Edwards (A slick ambulance chasing trial lawyer) - they are nothing more than closet socialists and the clip above proves my point with regards to Hillary the B*tch.

Country: | yeah right. FBJ can see what you mean. Yes we do need to find alternatives to fossil fuels eventually not because of so called global warming but sheer by the case we will run out of them if we continue their usage its not renewable never has been etc. But Hilary is only sounding off for what she believes people want to hear with no real thought on how you are abled to tax a multi national company that can move off shore at any time and seek other fields to go to and other countries and take their portfolios with them etc. Yes brilliant idea Hilary encourage oil companies to go elsewhere employ other people in other countries off shore at the sake of US workers in the oil industry and ignore the fact possibley her own investment portfolios would suffer for it
And Tim I agree about those clueless about making money have any idea about spending money. Ever noticed the ones who bitch about Banks and Credit Cards percentage are the ones who got themselves in debt in first place. and in 2nd place bitch about why Banks make profits. Hell dummy (not you Tim) realize this Banks are in it to make profits not friends and all of this for their stock and portfolio investors

Country: | I am not one that thinks global warming is no big deal. But still, there is no way to gauge what the earth's temperature WOULD be if there was no burning of fossil fuels. I think that the earth was in a "mini ice age" the last couple hundred years, and some scientists think that this gradual increasing in temperature could be part of a general warming of the earth, coming out of the ice age. Still, I'd like to see more renewable resources put into energy.
