| How Do You Grade the Bush Administrations Energy Policy Your thoughts?
I rank him a big fat "F".
I dont consider the excuse of "the democrats stymied everything I wanted to do".
He forgot about the "Bully Pulpit" and the magnificent opportunity for him to sling mud at the democrats right now. It might be true the democrats are to blame for the mess were in, but Bush has never understood the power of the press conference and its ability to get things going.

Country: | I give him a D minus - the only why I didn't give him an "F" is because he is the only president in the past 30 years to even mention that we are addicted to oil and we need alternate energy sources, but again talk is cheap - he also said he was going to stop putting oil into the national reserve, more cheap talk.....

Country: | I gave him an "F" also. Every time we've had an "oil man" in the White
House, gasoline and diesel fuel prices have skyrocketed. He's made his
share of the riches from his oil shares.

| Remember when the liberals from the Northeast blocked an attempt to build a windfarm in Long Island Sound?
Could that have ever been a fantastic opportunity to clobber the enviornmental nazi's?
Instead, Bush said nothing and did nothing.

Country: | Fair question, but in addition how do you grade the liberals who repeatedly.....
Vote against nuclear power plants
Vote against drilling for oil in Anwar
Vote against drilling for oil off shore (FL, NJ etc)
And then they come up with a windfall profits tax against the oil companies.
Plenty of blame to go arond ever since 1974 (1st OPEC oil embargo, remember those gas lines?)
I give them all (presidents and both houses of congress) an F.

TO | Every damned stinking one of them gets an "F".
From the head in the sand republicans who have an abnormal psychotic attachment in the faith of the market to deliver us from evil, to the moonbat screw the common man democrats who cant fathom the fact that cars and trucks run on gas.
They should all be shot for failure to plan for the inevitable and compromise so we have both short term and long term plans in place.

| Heres the link to the "nationalize the refineries comment" Breaking News | Latest News | Current News - FOXNews.com
House Democrats responded to President's Bush's call for Congress to lift the moratorium on offshore drilling. This was at an on-camera press conference fed back live.
Among other things, the Democrats called for the government to own refineries so it could better control the flow of the oil supply.
They also reasserted that the reason the Appropriations Committee markup (where the vote on the amendment to lift the ban) was cancelled so they could focus on preparing the supplemental Iraq spending bill for tomorrow.
At an off-camera briefing, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) said the same. And a senior Republican House Appropriations Committee aide adds that "there were multiple reasons for the postponement" including discussion on the supplemental. But the aide said there was the thought that Democrats may wish to avoid a debate today on energy amendments.
Here are the highlights from briefing
Rep. Maurice Hinchey (D-NY), member of the House Appropriations Committee and one of the most-ardent opponents of off-shore drilling
"We (the government) should own the refineries. Then we can control how much gets out into the market."
