Country: | I saw Dubbya today. In Greeley, Colorado. It was a free addmission GOP rally, perhaps because it was planned he was coming on short notice. All the other Colorado senators were there too. Bush came at the end and the cheering was intense. It was quite interesting. Even though he seemed the same as on TV, it felt quite differant to see him in person. We were about 50 feet from him. One could see his personality better. He gave a good speech, a lot in support of Marilyn Musgrave, who was there. He also was giving his support for the Iraq war.
I really did see his personality has that "aw shucks" personality to it. But when he's being authoritative you really felt the powerful "Decider" influnce he can carry. So he's friendly cowboy-like and with a hard nerve inside too.
Another interesting thing is he arrived in a helicopter and left in it too. I didn't see the coming of it, except on a screen, but when he left we could see him going back home to Texas, with an escort too. Then two more military helicopters flew overhead. Pretty cool. First time I think I've ever seen a military helicopter in person. Pretty loud. I wish I could name it, but I'm not too knowing of helicopters.
Anyway, a big day. First time I've been to a political rally too. Pretty rare occurance to see a President so close to home and with out the price tag. Sorry I may sound a bit...Uhhhh....but I'm coming down with a cold. I was lucky I felt could enough to see him this morning and still cheer. Bye. Going to bed.

Country: | That's interesting how you were in the are.
I was figuring that civillian aircraft wouldn't be allowed to fly.
I saw one plane overhead before Bush came that looked pretty civillian, but I suppose it belonged to the Police or Security.
Thanks for telling me the name of the helicopters. The Blackhawks looked mean and nasty. I sure wouldn't want to slug it out with them.

Country: | The FAA put out restrictions called TFRs. the one for the area yesterday ended at 12:30 pm mountain time. Even though I contacted Denver Center just to make sure there wasn't a delay or change - there wasn't.
There were also a few F-16s in the air, i would guess from Buckley - they might of been part of the contingency or might of been doing their normal weekend thing...

I was a Blackhawk crewchief/crewmember for the last 6 years while I was in the Army.

Country: | Like I said, I need to study up on helicopters more.
Well, I guess I wouldn't want to slug it out when the soldiers start pouring out of them.
