Country: | I thought S. Colbert backed out after being denied a spot on the ballot? I would've voted for Colbert, since all the other candidates are just too hilarious for me to vote for.

Country: | I think right now I would go with Ron Paul. I just seem to like what he says so far. Things can change however.
No votes for any Dems yet. Gee I wonder why????
I actually figured some our liberal friends in this forum would get some interesting discussions started.

Country: | Adler, I'm starting to go that way too. Seen him speak a few times on cut-bit news and read a few things on his website. Seems to say the things I agree with. Gonna dig further on him before I make my mind up.

I actually figured some our liberal friends in this forum would get some interesting discussions started. | Well I'll take a bite on that Chris! LOL! I voted for Biden because I think his plan for Iraq makes the most sense.
I wouldn't call myself a liberal though, more like a libertarian! (like your man Ron Paul!) What does R. Paul plan to do with Iraq anyways?
I won't vote for any other Dem though, nor would I vote for Guliani.

Country: | He is kind of a noninterventionalist. I can agree with that because I think it is time we let the world take care of themselves. The US is allways in a "No Win" situtation. If we do something everyone hate us. If we dont do anything everyone asks why the US is not doing anything.
Its time someone else starts doing something.
Well he advocates the withdrawal from the UN (Kind of have to agree with him, the UN is a Joke...).
He believes in the withdrawal from NATO (that I dont agree with).
He supports tighter border security and ending welfare benefits for illegal aliens (that I completely agree with).
As for Iraq itself. I am not sure what his actual views are. I know he voted against going into Iraq back in 2002.
My views on Iraq might not be the same as his. I believe it is time to start drawing down but we just cant quit what we started.

Well he advocates the withdrawal from the UN (Kind of have to agree with him, the UN is a Joke...). Yes who came up with the idea that every little tin-pot dictatorship gets 1 vote just the same as the US?

Let each region (Sunni, Shite, Kurd) be responsible for its own policing & services in its area (like the Kurd's are already doing). The US would keep 3 or 4 bases on the borders of Iraq, prevent Iranians from bringing weapons across, and hunt down Al-Quaida. Don't try to police a civil war, its a no-win situation.
I like the fact that he has a good knowlege about the rest of the world, that was the original problem in Iraq I think, some in the state department were giving this "Iraqi's will throw flowers at our feet as liberators" story, they didn't really understand the complex problems over there. That's what scares me, what makes Obama or Edwards think that a 1 term senator knows enough to be president?

Don't try to police a civil war, its a no-win situation. | Problem is that wont work. When I was in Iraq we brought the idea up. My Division covered everything north of Baghdad up to Turkey. Kirkuk and up was in "Kurdistan" which was pretty much run by the Kurds. We trained the Kurds to protect there own region.
The problem is this the Kurdish area is a very oil rich area. The Shiites and the Sunni's dont want the Kurds to have all the "power".
There were several time I flew Generals up to the Kurdish Headquarters in Irbil (northern Iraq) and we would have lunch with the Kurdish political leaders (on invite from then and the Generals). We would not really speak or open our mouths because well that is not the place of the "normal soldier". Anyhow we listened to what was being said and that was a main concern.
Frankly it would never work...
Civil War would officially break out.

Country: | Adler, just a suggestion.
As a joke, why not put Bush up? See if anybody would be willing to have him a third term.
Well, it happened with Roosevelt. JK!
I don't know much about Ron Paul. Actually, not much about any of the new ones.
What about Mitt Rommey? Think he could work as President? I guess I have thought about him, since he isn't doing too bad.

Country: | I will be voting Republican myself for sure. I so not trust Hillary. I think it is hard to find a honest, politician now a days.
Fisrt off, I do not like Hillary because Bill is her husband! I think both Clintons are as dirty as they come. Bill Clinton makes a mockery of the white house while he is there, commits adultery, has several woman file rape or sexual abuse charges against him, lies under oath, etc.
I do not like Hillary because she grows up in Chicago and lives in Arkansas while Bill is governor, then she most to New York and is a lifelong New yorker suddenly. Her stand on issues is determined by the polls, she goes from state to state, and her accent changes somewhat with that state. she has not accomplished anything in the senate. Blames her vote on the war on Bush. She wants to take credit and use Bill in her campaign, but she does not ant to take credit or acknowledge all the embarassing stuff, or dishonorable things he did. She wants to forget all the negative stuff.
And with all of the scandals they have been tied too, I would they have to have been guilty of being deeply involved in at least one!
And as far as Obama goes, the picture above says I all need to hear!
