Thank you, matt, it is They did wipe out the Nazi's, not the Germans, we should do the same, here, wipe out the extremist Moslims, not the rest.

Funny you bent my post that way. I was thinking in opposite terms. There are other factions, religious beliefs, and theological direction in the middle east besides islamists and muslims. Back to my naivete' comment. Take a look at Darfur, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Georgia, etc.

Marcel, please do not take my comments as a personal affront.

Palestine is a good example.

I'm not well versed but it is my understanding that the Palestinians are upset with Isarel for various transgressions and in order to fight against the "zionists" they invite every other kook in the region. So now the true reason for the hostility becomes muddled in religious and political crap. And they have become just another terrorist regime like hamas, PLO, etc. supporting all their wacky ideas.

Don't worry, Matt, I don't take it personal. Frankly I often find myself thinking the way you do. But it scares the hell out of me. Al Quaida is thinking this way, seeing us all as one entity. One enemy is easy to understand by the mass and they're using that on their behalf. I believe they want us to think this way as it'll eventually lead to war against all moslims instead of only themselves, a war we'll very likely to loose as about 1/3 of earth's population is moslim. I believe the only way to win is to focus on the ones that control public opinion in the moslim countries and not to try and allienate the population any further. That means the country leaders, Osama and his helpers etc. We must not go there and feel ourselves superior to them, as it will only increase hostile thinking toward us and "prove" to the public Al Quaida's view was the right one. The analogy of Germany was indeed a good example. The WWI peace was an uneasy one as it tried to blame all germans. After WWII the allieds didn't make this same mistake again, taking it only on the Nazi's and not on the germans themselves. We have had peace with them since then. That's the lesson I learn from history.

WorldNetDaily: U.S. evangelist launches swine attack on Muslims

U.S. evangelist launches swine attack on Muslims
Outraged by Muhammad teddy bear flap, minister names pig after Islamic prophet

An American evangelist has jumped into the fray over the fate of a British teacher facing calls for death over a teddy bear named "Muhammad."

Bill Keller, host of LivePrayer, has posted a video on YouTube featuring a pink pig named Muhammad after the Muslim prophet.

Bill Keller of LivePrayer has named this toy pig after the Muslim prophet

"Indeed Muhammad was a man of murder," the pig, voiced by Keller himself, states in the video. "He was a pedophile, having a wife at the age of six. And I came to find out that the Quran really is nothing more than a book of fairy tales."

Keller, a vocal critic of Islam, made the video in response to the case of Gillian Gibbons, who was sentenced to 15 days in a Sudan jail after being convicted of insulting Islam for allowing her student to call a teddy bear "Muhammad."

Gibbons was moved to a secure location in Khartoum last week after street demonstrators called for her death.

If Gibbons had been found guilty of inciting religious hatred and showing contempt for religious beliefs, her sentence could have been 40 lashes and up to six months of prison.

Muhammad is the most popular boys' name in Sudan, and it has since been revealed the teddy bear was actually named by one of Gibbons' students.

In his latest devotional being sent to his subscribers, Keller states:

Of course there will be Muslim apologists who say that these are only the extremists, just like they try to distance themselves from their brothers in this "peaceful religion" who flew the planes into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and the one intended for the Capitol building that was crashed in a Pennsylvania field by some real American heroes. ...
These people are not about love or peace or unity. They are about one thing. Converting the world to their false religion and those who get in their way or who refuse to follow their lies will be silenced and killed. The word "Islam" literally means "submission." Maybe you don't understand what it means when their "holy book" says "death to all infidels."

"Bill Keller's pink pig is a terrific tribute to Muhammad!" said WND reader Stephen Mayfield. "If only we could load B-52's with a week's take of Farmer John's swine intestines, and bombs-away them over Khartoum."

Another WND reader, Clay Hestilow, took the opposite view, stating, "Senseless. Ignorant. Hateful. This 'minister' is a poor representation of the love that Christ has for all of mankind."

If you'd like to sound off on this issue, please take part in the WorldNetDaily poll.

Unhappy

Yep, I'm afraid so. Iraqi militia have released a video of five British citizens and threatened to kill one of the hostages if British forces don't withdraw from their country. It's thought that the hostages are an IT consultant and his four bodyguards. One of the hostages speaks on the film, saying "Today is November 18th. I have been here now 173 days and I feel we've been forgotten." One of the kidnappers threatens to kill the hostage as "a first warning" and chillingly adds "which would be followed with details that you would not wish to know". See:

'Video aired' of Briton kidnapped in Iraq - Times Online

This has been kept VERY low key (see my post # 69 line 2), and has not had any media coverage that I can recall.

However, things have turned nasty in the last few days and they now see to be in the hands of some Bad Ba$tards. No one knows of this group and UK Nationals’ survival rates are not good eg Ken Bigley, Margaret Hassan.

The hostages were kidnapped in Iraq, in May, by roughly forty gunmen disguised in police uniforms and driving vehicles used by the Iraqi security forces. Note that the captor on the left of the picture is wielding an M-16, not the usual AK-M. Given that these ‘unpleasant types’, about 8 vehicles worth, walked into a Ministry building in the Green Zone, it says a lot about the loyalties of some of the Iraqi “security forces”.

Wouldn't you want to catch these ba$tards in a firefight?
