The Seelöwe was abandonned for "unknow time", if there was not Pearl Harbor and Barbarossa fail, Hitler would attack the GB again and this time who knows... |

Country: | England would have built up there forces so high that it would have been suicide to invade England.

Canada, Australia, and New Zealand just to name a few. Resources were not the problem, and war production was carried out far and wide as well. Although history sometimes tends to overlook the fact, it was a rather large team effort. |

Country: | And if you really want to go that way, how would Isreal defend themselves without US built weapons. Isreal is just as dependent as England was then.

Country: | Yes the Royal Navy rather effectively took care of the Kriegsmarine.

Country: | So why did they not helped out the Czechoslovakia in 1938... I know, I know - the resources weren't turned into weaponry
But but but - Hitler had also fu*king humongous resources basis - whole Europe and this was a war of land - Hitler was so crazy and self-confident that he would easily command an invasion with Luftwaffe support (like on the other side at Dieppe in 1941... ) even if the RAF was still there.
And one small notice: even in the BoB, there were many Commonwealth pilots and also Czechoslovaks, Poles, French, Belges, Dutch... |

Country: | Yes you are right pisis, and in what you are saying is correct because it was a unified effort. Not England going "Oh god please help us."

And ariel, the U-boats were feeling the hurt from the RN/RCN before the US officially entered the war. |
