Country: | No, they're what the world call historians. They obviously do not believe that all the book says is true and want to discover the truth. It isn't far off from uncovering what Greek Mythology is all about. If you believe in the bible and the stories from the bible, why not believe in Greek Mythology?
An example of Greek Mythology disected is that of the siege of Troy. Troy really did exist and was a free city under the influence of the Hittite Empire when the Greeks invaded it. The Greeks did not set sail against the nation for the sake of Helena but for the richs and gold of Troy. The Trojan Horse is not mentioned in any ancient texts, so therefore is not seen to have existed and is only in existance by the story telling of Greek Mythology.
If they can dissect a story from 2000 years ago of Greek adventures. Why is their dissection of Israeli history so false?
If you want to believe that all the stories about Israel and the Hebrew slaves of Egypt are true then fine. Those men though are not "traitors" they are historians hoping to uncover the truth about ancient movements, kingdoms and wars.
It is your choice to believe them or call them traitors but, to be honest, I'd rather listen to someone who has studied history and has the texts of many empires rather than just read one book about the faith that tells this stories. The same kind of book that tells of a man turning water into wine. It's no more believable than Athena producing a horse of wood that was used to infiltrate the mighty fortress of Troy to save one woman.
