Thanks, syscom. | I hope his classic song "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgereld" gets stuck in your head tonight. May you go to sleep humming that tune.

I can be sure myself that you don't know anything about the subject of the South Atlantic islands and the only thing you can do is insult to the other members.
| Where have I insulted the members of this forum on this particular thread? I've only abused you for your ***** attitude. And I'll openly admit that because you're a *****. Sit there and believe what you will but you haven't got a clue about what I do and don't know.
Getting into a discussion about this with you would be pointless. The fact of the matter is Britian conquered the Falkland Isles and that's the end of it. Quote: |
The world is agaisnt the british empire because how it formed, invading sovereign territories, using the force as the only reason.
| What world are you living on? The world I live in has mixed reactions over the British Empire. Intellectuals understand the difficulties of running such a large Empire and have great respect for the achievements of the British in it's glory days. People who wish to look closer take care and consideration into the various attempts Britain had on improving life in many of it's colonies.
The others, like you, compare what Britain did centuries ago to modern day standards. The worst thing someone interested in history could do. If we compared all history to our standards than everyone on the planet would be living in an evil country. Back in the Empire days, every country was hoping for new land and most would gladly march into war for it. Don't even bother if you are going to continue comparing Britain in the 19th Century with modern day standards.
Force was not the only thing Britain had as a weapon. It was extremely diplomatic, that is why the Empire stayed together for so long. That is why so many countries still respect Britain. Quote:
About this:
"Cos we kicked your ass, just like Britian kicked the vast majority of planet's ass"
It seems to be that you don't remember (or you don't know, that is the most possible) that the british forces were defeated three times in Argentina, the reconquer of Buenos Aires 1806, the defense of Buenos Aires 1807, Obligado's battle 1845...
| Well done, Argentina, but I believe the Union Jack still flies above the Falklands, 'nuff said.

| Argentina had their revenge in that world cup game against England. Diego Maradona had to cheat to win it.

| Argentina did not revenge anything, just was an football game. Maradona meet the coke for first time in Spain when he playing for the Sevilla F.C, I dont think that is fair to say that he play in drugs that macht because there is no proof of that.
BTW I dont like the guy either
